Obviously the current 'top-of-the-list' card title is held by 9800GX2. Go for it. And abt 8800GTX, yes, its a high end card, but its nothing compared to 9800GX2. No one would recommend 8800GTX over 9800GX2 provided if a person can afford it.

with a 9800gx2 u need a 800w onwards power supply with a 8 prong plug
mine came with a converter so that wasnt that problem
but with a 9800gx2 u need to make sure ur processor and ram can handle the amount of info its going to throw at them
and ofcourse the amount of heat generated

for brand names..either get a bfgtech or a evga..if not then go for xfx...no msi and shit is worth that amount of money

i'm using 2 of these and they produce as much heat as a regular summer day in lahore

for god sake,
dont buy 9800gx2, buy the 9800gtx and save some money to upgrade you god-dam P4D to C2D in the E 8xxx series.. its totally waste of money to get a VGA thats 5 times faster than your cpu.... its like putting a ferrai engine in an alto...
