LDN or PTCL ???

Which is better? ive gone thru the threads on both in this sectiona and its got me confused. i have order the LDN 1mbps, but i need to know which is better PTCL or LDN. please share your opinion. ty

I'm Using LDN and I'm happy with it.

PTCL is better.
PTCL customer support is poor
PTCL ping is better
PTCL started entertainment portal
PTCL give connection on Fibre Optic lines


LDN is ok
LDN ping is too high
LDN use shared connection
LDN support might be good than PTCL
(but when u call LDN that u r getting problem in net they will say .. your phone line got problem .. you go to ptcl they say line is perfect your ISP is not giving you full throughput... result : you wish to kill yourself by calling here and there again and again)

Advantage of PTCL is .. if its not working fine you only need to call PTCL .. they will fix all the problem

I dont know what....but at this moment my feeling is that PTCL sucks so bad that it hurts!

I was in office and ptcl ppl came and installed 512 at my home. I just came back and checked the connection. The performance......exactly 56k dialup modem and NO my line is perfect, no issues. This forum page opened in more than a minute! So you can guess the performance I am getting!

I also ordered LDN. I will see how it performs.

Change your modem and get some one to fix your issues from the exchange. Also tell PTCL guys to refresh your port. I hope you will be really happy with their service once you get this done.

Currently I am using their modem but I own two other DSL (D-LInk & Linksys both with router and wifi) modems that I can check with.

I called them and they said they support will call me in 30 mins on my mobile. Lets see.

Well I am using PTCL from last 3 months in office at Egerton Road and Its always on .. Never went down in last 3 months.. Now they switching us to 2 Mbps

I am using LDN since last 15 days .. and its also never went down.. and its also offering same rates as PTCL after 15th March as their website announced.

OK, now I have 256 ptcl. They say that it will be updated to 512 in few days. But for now I want to compare it with Wateen 256 I had been using for past 6 months. I would say there is a lot of difference, ptcl being on -ve side. I used to get 30+ KB download continuously on Wateen. On ptcl, my max is 25KB. Speeds fluctuates a lot most of time set on lower than 20KB.

i'll definitely say bye bye to wc this month, but i m a lil confused between LDN and PTCL as well... but having a student package for PTCL i m sure is better than LDN...

i hope if the registrar in my last college would be kind enough to approve the application, or if the HEC would be kind enough to allow having a student package at home while studying abroad lol

btw, whats the downloading speed on 512kbps for PTCL n LDN? thanks
