Switch to PTCL from Worldcall?

I have this offer on the table that says 1 MB student package for Rs. 1400 per month only. Now three things I want to know...

1) What kinds of speed improvement I will see over 256kbps of worldcall?

2) Is the DSL connectivity unlimited?

3) How is the PTCL experience in general?

I have been a happy world call user but their rates these days are too steep and I need to switch over. I am not using the other threads because the lack of punctuation makes my head hurt. Please write full sentences and try to write briefly about the 3 questions.

1 ) there will be a major diff it takes me an hour now to download my tv shows thru torrents b4 it was 3 hrs on 256

2 ) so far it is i have downloaded like 16gb of tv shows in one week

3 ) pretty good ever since i got the connection there has never been a disconnection

Whats the speed of ur connection? 1 Mbps?

They wont upgrade your connection to 1mbps. Dono when they'll start doing it.

well my con was already 1 MB when they installed it.. i dono why they are delaying upgrading with you guys....

how can u tell, other than running a speedtest. if i get 45-55k on torrents, does that mean i`m on 512k?

and usually everyone starts at 512k now before getting upgraded and for some reason at 1236 i`m on 256k.

1) Depends on how clean ur lines are and how far u are away from ptcl office is what it seems. On my 1mb i get about 100-130 on torrents and direct downloads via dl manager go at above 100 aswell. Im using copper wires and live about 1-2km from the ptcl office in cantt. Modem is white ZTE.

2) I think I saw before that the student packages are not unlimited. The normal 1mb and 2mb connections are, been using the 1mb unlimted for some time

3) Id have to say excellent. Their customer support imho blows, but thank God ive never had any serious problem and have had a uptime of prob 98% over the last few months. So compared to WC its about 1000000X better.

1. twice speed ... and more stable than WC.
2. Website says its not for student package but its in actual you can reconfirm from 1236 helpline.
3. So far so good, i didnt have any problem, mainly because my line was already hooked with multinet dsl before i switched to ptcl, and also make sure you are in good terms with your lineman and ask him to give you High Mega Pair for better performance.
