PTCL DSL Garden Town Exchange

Hi,
Just wondering if anyoen else is having problems using ptcl dsl in garden town exchange? cause since saterday i am unable to use ptcl, i am getting crap speed, hardly around 8k, cant do voip at all due to lag. So far as per 18 complain they telling us its media problem at exchange end and they are looking to fix it...please do tell if you are in same exchange and having similar problems thanks

yes yes there is apparently some prob with the exchange i too use the garden town exchange and i called em today to give the poor sap that picked up the phone an ear full cuz since monday they telling me 24hours may theek howay ga and he said ka aaj hoo jaye ga but em hopefull kay ho jaye but dunno dude

have no clue as to what the prob is exactly the dude said they din tell the c.s what it is either

I got return call from ptcl, saying they are sending guy to my end. I wonder what this guy will do when the problem is at ptcl exchange side

..Khair will see about it also called express news about the problem since this saterday

It is quite a known problem that PTCL Garden Town Exchange has quite an old media installed on most of the numbers. I was advised by my lineman to not get it installed in the first place. My number is like 14 years old.

but im on fibre optic...my media is new right? im also facing these damn probs since saturday 4pm.....yaar the service was so awesome...not a single disconection...ab yeh kia bad scene hai...theyre givin no deadlines at all....

yar i really hope it gets corrected today...

i can barely browse sites..and most of the time i cant..

when i ping their dns...im gettin a hell lotta packet losses..but surprisingly the ping time is still low when reply does come...like around 45-50ms...

its not the media of our lines, Its media problem of the exchange as per their asnwer to this, its weird whenever i use their ZTE dsl modem all sites ask for user name and pwd where as whenever i place up my modem back its working but hell slow...yes times outs and ping delays. I hope they make it work soon.

so soul is ur prob fixed...cause mine seems to be fixed..now no packet losses... can ya confirm it bro?

im having exactly the same problem here in gulberg 3...the guys over the complaint cell told me that its a problem with garden town and gulberg exchange both....nonetheless they always say itll be fix in a couple of hours but still the same!
i might be switching back to WC

yeah seems like its working now... i hope it stays like this longer...currentl no ping losses else i was getting over 40% loss

and stash bro...dont leave ptcl..u'll regret believe me...its the creme de la creme of the local ISPs..
