today eventually i am saying good bye to worldcall forever.....i was using worldcall since last 4 years but now it was too much WC has started explioting customers....problems i faced since last 1 year and complained a lot but no solution i was on 512 now i switched to wateen ....
problems i face...

1 No back up during electricity failure so net only works for 10 hours a day...
2 bandwidth steeling by WC they say we give u 512 but it was worse than 128 when i complained they said might be any problem at ur end complained a lot but works fine when team arrives and sucks after 10,11 pm..
3 continuous disconnections
4 they increased prices as well which really dont worth
5 poor customer services

i am using wateen 512kb with 10 gb limit for 650 plus free phone and i think that really worth it if u hv ups are generator at home its works fine during electricity failure
speed 512 at 70kb plus which is amazing..

please give ur comments about worldcall

youre just being butt-nudged by worldcall,

im on 512k aswell, works fine, and the customer service could be better, but not total shitheads like what you describe ... maybe Worldcall just likes to play tag with you? :P

see, thats where Wateen is a douchebag, 10 GB limit per month .... HECK i download 10 GB every 3 days!

but brother wc dont work when there is no electricity so whats use of unlimited
it hardly works 10 hours i was on wc since 4 years
there management consist of people who dont care for customers what they did since last year for electricity back up nothing ?
plus speed problem at nights speed slow down to worse than 128 complained a lot but bear no fruit
i think 10 gb is more than enough for customers who dont download movies coninuously
any how there are pros and cons but i guess worldcall really sucks due to there non reliable services

I have also some complained from World call.

First i was using local mohalla internet. It was really better then worldcall. Then i move to wc. In beginning service was really good. But after 1 month it shows me reality. I paid them 3 months advance payment. I thought first i wl check WC for 3 months if it wl b good i wl keep going with them. U can say i was testing it.

The problems i faced:

Modem Disconnecting & Reconnecting again n again...
High ping while playing online gaming..
Drop signals from back end..
Some times modem not connecting for a long time..
No service signals after reconnecting..

I complain many times..they learned some sentences that sir we wl check it. we check our side is ok problem in ur pc. we wl send our team... bla bla bla e.t.c

they never send any team to me..they never listened to me..though i also visited customer service center..

In start no doubt world call services were awesome! but now they have pathetic services specially customer service sucks!!

N ya by the way their package rates are high compare to other Internet providing companies.

The guy who recieve payment of packages he exactly come on 1st date of every month.lol. last month he came n were asking for payment.i said run away dnt make me angry..i wl...

Now im on PTCL. got some minor problems with it. Buy after all happy now.

2 of my friends also using WC. but now they r also leaving them just coz of awesome services from WORLD CALL.

WC no doubt sucks big time , even they still have to refund amount of three weeks but they never bother :@

well bro as far wateen is concern let me tell you its very expansive might be you are enjoying better services at the time but in the end you are going to suffer,

i would recommend you to go for either LINKdotNET or PTCL, better prices with 24hrs uptime

making a decision regarding internet is all dependant on External Factors


Top on the list of Internet service provider is PTCL from what i hear - then its LinkDotNet

But they depend on Telephone Lines. So unless u have uber Telephone line - u'll have disconnections etc.

The major problem With DSL is dealing with PTCL telephonic department. They are utter shit when it comes to Customer Care. If ur lucky and live near by the PTCL branch - u shouldnt have any issues. But in most cases - ur line would have distortion and what not - that would cause a lot of problems.

In my case i would love to switch to DSL - but my line is bad (and the phone gets disconnected at times) that DSL will be hell to have around. PTCL said that they will put fiber optics in my area - pfft like as if that'll happen in next 10yrs!

So the second choice to those unfortunate 90% of pakistan's population that suffer from bad Telephone lines is the Cable Internet. We have 2 service providers from what i hear.

1 - WorldCall
2 - Wateen (defence only)

I never saw Wateen Cable net in action so cant comment on that. WorldCall is crap - but its better than having to deal with PTCL when there is internet issue.

For the rest of the crowd - who have bad telephone lines (or no telephone line at all) and are fed up with crappy WorldCall cable net (or dont have WC service in there area) comes the WiMax.

Its good service - its all wireless - but its expensive. They charge ur ass off; and the Download Cap is the worst thing to happen on internet. U'll be worried about downloading anything on the net - afraid of not going over ur limit. So it sucks for users like ourselves.

Its good for those who like to check emails and chat. But thats about it.


So as a consumer - we dont have much choice on the service we choose because it depends on the external factor.

So to sum it up:

PTCL (Dependant on Telephone Line)
LDN (Dependant on Telephone Line and is good choice if PTCL refuses to give u service)
WorldCall (Dependant on Service provided in Area)
Wateen Cable (Defence only)
Wateen WiMax (Has Download Cap)
